Oil exploration data nearly complete

The first phase of oil and gas exploration in the Great South Basin is just weeks from completion for two international companies involved, industry insiders say. Though rough seas have hampered progress off the southern coast, a spokesman for the Western Trident boat gathering seismic data for ExxonMobil said it hoped to have its work done by the end of the month.
